Please note that due to inactivity Cat Zingano, Carla Esparza, Michelle Waterson, Cristiane Justino, Marloes Coenen, and Jessica Penne are all ineligible for the rankings. Also note the previous rankings (6/29/14) are in parenthesis:

1. Ronda Rousey (1)

Ronda Rousey just finished Alexis Davis extremely fast at UFC 175 and will take sometime off undergoing surgery and some movie shoots before possibly facing Gina Carano. This is a match that Rousey wants and Dana White‘s trying to make it happen.

2. Barb Honchak (3)

There is no word as to when Barb Honchak will defend her title next though it’s possible it will be in the winter. The next date mentioned for a fight card from Invicta FC is a December date which will see Cristiane Justino make her bantamweight debut.

3. Alexis Davis (4)

Alexis Davis got mauled by Ronda Rousey pretty badly so there’s a question of when she will rebound considering suspensions.

4. Lauren Murphy (7)

After having recently signed with the UFC, undefeated former Invicta Fighting Championship Bantamweight Champion Lauren Murphy will be facing Sara McMann at the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux on August 16th on next weekend.

5. Sara McMann (5)

Sara McMann is looking for her rebound win after loosing to Ronda Rousey by welcoming former Invicta Fighting Championship Bantamweight Champ and undefeated Lauren Murphy to the promotion at UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux.

6. Sarah Kaufman (8)

Having last fought Leslie Smith in a rematch of their Invicta FC 5 bout, Sarah Kaufman currently has nothing scheduled.

7. Miesha Tate (9)

Miesha Tate currently has nothing scheduled but last fought Liz Carmouche at UFC on Fox 12 in April earlier this year. More than likely Tate will not get a title shot anytime soon. However, she will probably get some good match ups in the near future.

8. Jessica Aguilar (10)

The World Series of Fighting Strawweight Champion Jessica Aguilar currently has no title defenses scheduled in the near future. There is a question though as to whether she will try to get into the UFC following the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter season 20.

9. Tecia Torres (N/A)

Tecia Torres like most of the top strawweight fighters in the world are on hold until The Ultimate Fighter finishes broadcasting.

10. Felice Herrig (N/A)

As with the other strawweights, Felice Herrig recently competed in The Ultimate Fighter. However, she’s a bit controversial due to her outspoken nature and her exhibitionist tendencies. There’s also rumors that she was in an altercation on the first day of TUF.
