Due to inactivity Carla Esparza, Cristiane Justino, Marloes Coenen, and Jessica Penne are ineligible. Last ranks in parenthesis:

1) Ronda Rousey (1)

Ronda Rousey‘s next opponent has now been determined to be Cat Zingano who returned to action in come from behind fashion. However, the match may not take place at UFC 182 as originally planned if Zingano can’t get cleared before he medical suspension ends.

2) Michelle Waterson (N/A)

“The Karete Hottie” Michelle Waterson successfully defended her championship at Invicta FC 8 by defeating Yasuko Tamada in the third. If there is one champion in Invicta that is more marketable then Ms. Cyborg is has to be Waterson for her looks and skills.

3) Barb Honchak (2)

Barb Honchak is now set to defend her Invicta Flyweight Championship on November 1st in her native Iowa at Invicta 9 on UFC Fight Pass. This will be Honchak’s opportunity to showcase her skills at a stage she has never done before, which could lead to the UFC.

4) Jessica Aguilar (8)

While it’s possible Jessica Aguilar signed with World Series of Fighting to be active, the small pool of contenders seems to have dried out.

5) Sara McMann (5)

Sara McMann had a close fight with former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Lauren Murphy but came out on top and rebounded. It is quite possible that McMann is only a fight or two away from another title shot depending on the opponents and other circumstances.

6) Alexis Davis (3)

It’s hard to see if Alexis Davis can rebound from being so badly mauled by Ronda Rousey in the first round of their July 5th match.

7) Cat Zingano (N/A)

Cat Zingano certainly proved that she is still the number one contender by coming from behind to dominate Amanda Nunes at UFC 178. She has earned a title shot against Ronda Rousey, but it may not be at the originally scheduled UFC 182 because of medical suspension.

8) Joanne Calderwood (N/A)

The Scottish sweetheart Joanne Calderwood has a win over current Invicta Strawweight Champ Katja Kankaanpaa. Calderwood successfully won her first match against Emily Kagan in The Ultimate Fighter House ensuring she’s one fight closer to the title.

9) Katja Kankaanpaa (N/A)

Katja Kankaanpaa captured the vacant Invicta FC Strawweight Champion by defeating Stephanie Eggink at Invicta FC 8.

10) Sarah Kaufman (6)

There has been a little twitter war between Sarah Kaufman and Miesha Tate about possibly rematching but nothing is concrete yet.
