Due to inactivity, Cristiane Justino is ineligible for the rankings. Also note that the previous rankings (1/15/15) are listed in parenthesis:

1) Ronda Rousey (1)

Ronda Rousey maybe in for her greatest challenge to date when she faces Cat Zingano at UFC 184 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Both women has very similar traits in that they are both well rounded athletes, despite Zingano’s lack of an Olympic Bronze medal in judo.

2) Carla Esparza (2)

With her TUF 20 title under her belt, Carla Esparza will be defending her title at UFC 185 on March 14th against Joanna Jedrzejczyk. This won’t be her first time defending a championship belt, but it will be her first time defending a UFC Championship.

3) Barb Honchak (3)

Barb Honchak currently has nothing scheduled since her Invicta FC 9 title defense on November 1 of last year against Takayo Hashi.

4) Jessica Aguilar (5)

It is unknown when Jessica Aguilar will be defending her title next as she successfully last defended her title against Kalindra Faria. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility to assume that the UFC may try to sign Aguilar so that she can face their champion Carla Esparza.

5) Cat Zingano (4)

Cat Zingano is highly motivated to pull an upset against Ronda Rousey at UFC 184 on February 28th so that she can provide for her son. It has been evident by several pre-fight stare downs that the two are taking each other seriously and defining the term “Dangerous Beauties”.

6) Katja Kankaanpaa (6)

Having last defended her title against Stephanie Eggink, Katja Kankaanpaa currently has nothing scheduled in terms of defenses.

7) Herica Tiburcio (8)

Herica Tiburcio has a lot to prove whenever she fights next as she pulled a major upset against Michelle Waterson at Invicta FC 10.

8) Michelle Waterson (9)

There was a possible chance that Michelle Waterson could have been invited to the UFC Strawweight division which is still a possibility. However, she will need a rebound win and may possibly need to win her title back. Time will tell who exactly she will face for a rebound.

9) Miesha Tate (N/A)

Miesha Tate certainly pulled a surprise when she not only came from behind against Sara McMann, but also out grappled the Olympian.

10) Marloes Coenen (10)

Following her successful Bellator debut, Marloes Coenen will probably be fighting Julia Budd for the vacant Bellator Women’s Featherweight Championship. A time and date have not been determined, but it can be assumed that it will be late fall or early summer.
