United World Wrestling 2015 World Championships

United World Wrestling (formerly FILA), the IOC governing body for Olympic wrestling is currently in the process of hosting the 2015 World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The championships opened on September 7th with the Greco-Roman division and will conclude on September 9th. The Freestyle women’s division will start tomorrow and conclude on Friday, September 11th while Men’s Freestyle division will start on the September 10th and will conclude on September 12th with the closing ceremonies taking place on September 13th.

The world championships has a rich history of including some notable MMA veterans of the sport, including Dan Henderson (greco), Randy Couture (greco), Joe Warren (greco), Henry Cejudo (men’s freestyle), Sara McMann (women’s freestyle), Daniel Cormier (men’s freestyle), Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (men’s freestyle), and Patrick Cummins (men’s freestyle) to name just a few of the participants.
