The original list was updated in a recent video and now the recurring series is set to continue with the update below:

10) Takeya Mizugaki

Suffered one loss which resulted in his getting cut from the UFC but is now fighting for Absolute Championship Berkut. Of note is that he only makes this list because of his Masters Degree in electrical engineering.

9) Tonya Evinger

Tonya Evinger went even this year going 1-1 with one no contest and finally landing in the UFC in her recent fight. Her only loss up a weight class against Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino actually went pretty well up until the end.

8) Jon Fitch

On a four fight winning streak, Jon Fitch this past year alone defended his now Professional Fighters League Welterweight Championship two times this year but it is unknown who his next title defense will be against soon.

7) Jesse Taylor

Jesse Taylor recently won The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption season and has finally secured a spot in the UFC.

6) Ben Askren

Still undefeated and with two title defenses this year, Ben Askren is eyeing retirement in his next defense in November. The University of Missouri graduate is probably one of the greatest fighters to never fight in the UFC.

5) Ryan Bader

Ryan Bader faced Phil Davis for the second time this year and won, also earning the Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship in the process. He also earned two victories before he left the UFC as a free agent to Bellator MMA.

4) Tyron Woodley

Though he had a bad outing despite the win, Tyron Woodley has won two out of his three fights, the latter of which was a close draw against Stephen Thompson. However, he was able to defeat Thompson their second fight.

3) Stipe Miocic

Stipe Miocic is undefeated this past year with two title defenses to add to a five fight winning streak. Considering the fact that he’s cleared out the heavyweight division and everyone else is suspended an opponent is unknown.

2) Barb Honchak

Returning to action on The Ultimate Fighter: A New World Champion, Barb Honchak still hasn’t fought on the season. However, she makes this list because of her return to action and her two different masters degrees.

1) Oleksiy Oliynyk

Oleksiy Oliynyk is undefeated this year against the likes of Viktor Pesta and the newly wed with Ronda Rousey, Travis Browne. The law school graduate certainly has a good final quarter of 2017 coming up.
