Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all MMA Freak readers and for the occasion as is tradition the Top 10 Irish Fighters of the past year will be listed. Irish Americans and Northern Irish are included and the list is based on fight records:

10) Paul Felder

Make no mistake that Paul Felder has made a splash in the UFC but he hasn’t had the best year going 1-2. Needless to say the Irish American still has potential in the sport and can still come back from this should he string some wins.

9) Norman Parke

Normane Parke fought valiantly this year but unfortunately got only one win in three total fights with two losses. His lone win was against Reza Madadi and he lost against Francisco Trinaldo and against Rustam Khabilov.

8) Cathal Pendred

What has turned out to be his last year of fighting, Cathal Pendred unfortunately only got one win to two losses. It was unfortunate that Pendred couldn’t get more time in the UFC considering his veteran career.

7) Chris Fields

Chris Fields is the only fighter on this list to fight outside of the UFC and like many has achieved an even record. The season 19 The Ultimate Fighter alumni members has fought primarily in BAMMA and Cage Warriors.

6) Joseph Duffy

In his first three fights in the UFC, Joseph Duffy has fought two of them this last year and had an even record.

5) Aisling Daly

Aisling Daly has fought twice since her stint of The Ultimate Fighter and winning at The Ultimate Fighter Finale. In total she went 1-1 during 2015 with a win against Ericka Almeida and losing to Randa Markos.

4) Neil Seery

During his second year of UFC competition, Neil Seery had an even record with one win and one loss at UFC 189.

3) Patrick Holohan

Patrick “Paddy” Holohan fought twice this year, winning against Vaughn Lee at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Leites on July 18th and losing to Louis Smolkha at UFC Fight Night: Holohan vs. Smolka on October 15th.

2) Artem Lobov

Stable mate of Conor McGregor, Artem Lobov made it to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter last season. However he lost to winner and former training partner Ryan Hall and his actual UFC record isn’t great.

1) Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has fought three times this past year winning the UFC Interim Featherweight against Chad Mendes and UFC Featherweight Championships from Jose Aldo but dropping a submission loss to Nate Diaz.
