Emmanuel Sanchez pulled off an impressive submission against Tywan Claxton in the opening round of the Bellator Featherweight Grand Prix.

In this preliminary card bout between Leandro Higo and Shawn Bunch, Higo was able to pull off an impressive guillotine choke submission.

Boxer Ava Knight made her MMA debut at Bellator 228 against Shannon Goughary and was successful with a body shot that took out Goughary.

5) Antonio McKee technically knocks out William Sriyapai – Bellator 228

Antonio McKee on the same card that his son scored an impressive knockout, was able to himself earn a TKO win against William
Sriyapai.
The fight was a rare moment for a father and son in MMA.

4) Johnny Cisneros technically knocks out Michael Jasper – Bellator 228

This is another example of what kicks to the leg can do in a match.
Johnny Cisneros demonstrated that when he kicked

3) Leah McCourt defeats Kerry Hughes via technical submission victory – Bellator Dublin/Bellator 227 – Submission of the Month

Leah McCourt made a statement by submitting Kerry Hughes so quickly that she went to sleep before she could tap out. The statement could possibly propel her to title contention in the featherweight division.

2) A. J. McKee defeats Georgi Karakhanyan via knockout method victory- Bellator 228: Machida vs. Mousasi 2 – Knockout of the Month

While A. J. McKee didn’t set a record fastest knockout in Bellator MMA, he did make a statement against fellow Bellator veteran Georgi Karakhanyan. He made a statement also as he is currently undefeated as a professional with all fifteen of his fights coming in Bellator going into the second round.

This has been one of Benson Henderson’s more active fights as of late when he welcomed fellow UFC veteran Myles Jury to Bellator MMA and was able to string his fourth straight win together in Bellator MMA.
