It was a good fight card and things are about to get really busy when it comes to major MMA. So without further delay let’s take a look:

UFC 170: Rousey vs. McMann

Main Event: Ronda Rousey #1 Women’s Bantamweight vs. Sara McMann #6 Women’s Bantamweight

Prediction: Rousey by submission. Result: Rousey by strikes. It may have been early but there’s no denying Rousey’s improving striking.

Co-main Event: Daniel Cormier #6 Light Heavyweight vs. Patrick Cummins

Prediction: Cormier by strikes. Result: Same. This match went exactly how it supposed to considering Cummins only had a week’s notice.

Rory MacDonald #5 Welterweight vs. Demian Maia #7 Welterweight

Prediction: Maia by submission. Result: MacDonald by decision. It was an impressive comeback and rightfully earned Fight of the Night.

Mike Pyle vs. TJ Waldburger

Prediction: Pyle by submission. Result: Pyle by strikes. While Herb Dean stopped the main event a little early, he stopped this one too late.

Robert Whittaker vs. Stephen Thompson

Prediction: Thompson by strikes. Result: Same. Thompson went out and did exactly what he was expected to do, enough said.

Overall score: 3/5; 0.6 prediction percentage. 0.5 for Rousey’s win, 1 for Cormier’s win, 0.5 for Pyle’s win, and 1 for Thompson’s win.

UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Hathaway

Main Event: Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway

Prediction: Hathaway by decision. He may not be a finisher but John Hathaway does know how to win a fight, having lost only once.

Co-main Event: Sai Wang vs. Lipeng Zhang

Prediction: Wang by strikes. Wang’s preliminary match with Wu Qize was arguably fight of the season so he’s likely to win the tournament.

Matt Mitrione vs. Shawn Jordan

Prediction: Jordan by strikes. Jordan by far is a better striker and has more experience in MMA then Mitrione, but only time will tell that.

Nam Phan vs. Vaughan Lee

Prediction: Phan by strikes. Overall Phan is the more well rounded fighter and has more international experience. Bantamweight might fit.

Hatus Hioki vs. Ivan Menjivar

Prediction: Hioki by submission. Hioki is up against the wall in dire need of a win but at the same time has the submission skills to win.

Bellator 110

Note: Even though one of the featherweight quarterfinals will be on the preliminary card I will make a prediction for it as a tournament match.

Main Event: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Christian M’Pumbu

Prediction: Jackson by strikes. Jackson returned to his winning ways at Bellator 108 against Joey Beltran and looked like a monster again.

Co-main Event: Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal vs. Mikhail Zayats

Prediction: Zayats by submission. Lawal has a major conditioning problem and Zayats’ world class sambo could counter Lawal’s wrestling.

Diego Nunes vs. Matt Bessette

Prediction: Nunes by decision. Nunes is a well rounded fighter and is coming off of a bad seeding in the last featherweight tournament.

Mike Richman vs. Desmond Green

Prediction: Richman by submission. The “Marine” is a well rounded fighter and looked spectacular against Akop Stepanyan getting a win.

Daniel Weichel vs. Scott Cleve

Prediction: Cleve by strikes. Cleve is a rising prospect and a good striker who enters his first Bellator tournament after a successful debut.

Goiti Yamauchi vs. Will Martinez

Prediction: Martinez by submission. Martinez has a good record in Bellator but no tournament matches. He has the skills to do well though.
