Is the UFC trying to weed out Nate Diaz?

Nate Diaz thinks the UFC is still firmly in Conor McGregor’s corner, event hough Nate soundly defeated the Notorious One in the main event at UFC 196. Is it Nate’s perception, does he have some sort of persecution complex, or is he onto something? Shouldn’t the UFC be throwing a little shine on Nate since he knocked off The Golden Boy and has seen his popularity skyrocket?

McGregor’s aura of invincibility is shattered — thanks to Nate Diaz’s chin, hands and BJJ. Conro took the first round, opening up a cut on Nate, but Nate came back in the second, landing combos on Conor that had him wobbly. Then a desperation takedown by Conor was his undoing — Nate quickly got mount, Conor gives his back and Nate sinks in the RNC for the tap.
