Can anyone think of another fighter that is 1-3 in their division, and that victory against an unranked fighter, that is still ranked as #1 contender?
There was some admitted errors in the rankings this month and they will be corrected next month.
Gee, how long can one victory carry a fighter? Holly is 1-3 (1-4 if you count her loss to fellow BW GDR) at 135 since her defeat of an ill-prepared and overconfident Ronda, yet is ranked as #1 contender? Her only victory over a fellow BW since that Ronda victory is over a fighter not even ranked in the top 15 (Correia).
Was it an oversight not to include Ayaka Hamasaki in the top 10 pound for pound list, not even as an honorable mention, when her only losses in her 10 year 20 fight pro career were at higher weight divisions, or was there a reason for the omission? Seo Hee Ham is ranked but lost to Ayaka twice, admittedly some time ago.
