Note due to inactivity, TJ Grant is ineligible for the rankings. Also note previous rankings (1/29/15) in parenthesis:

1) Rafael dos Anjos (5)

Rafael dos Anjos pulled probably upset of the year when he handled Anthony Pettis from the first bell to last. He is now waiting to face the winner of Donald Cerrone versus Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC

2) Anthony Pettis (1)

Following a rather lopsided loss, Anthony Pettis will have to reassess his fighting strategy in order to rebound. Supposedly Pettis is saying he wants the winner or looser of Donald Cerrone vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov.

3) Khabib Nurmagomedov (2)

Khabib Nurmagomedov will actually become ineligible for the rankings before he faces Donald Cerrone. Should he win he will get to repeat his performance against Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on Fox 11.

4) Donald Cerrone (4)

One fight away from a title shot, Donald Cerrone can show that Khabib Nurmagomedov is overrated. He will get his chance at UFC 187 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Memorial Day Weekend.

5) Gilbert Melendez (3)

Gilbert Melendez will be facing fellow Hispanic fighter Eddie Alvarez at UFC 188 taking place in Mexico City. Being that the two are scrappers this could have the potential to become a fight of the night or fight of the year.

6) Benson Henderson (6)

Following a fight at welterweight with Brandon Thatch, it’s hard to tell where Benson Henderson goes next. He vied for a match against Rory MacDonald which didn’t happen, but he might vie for a rematch against dos Anjos.

7) Myles Jury (7)

Myles Jury was dealt his first loss by Donald Cerrone and has yet to be scheduled for a possible rebound match. There is a good chance that Jury will be able to rebound should he keep his head in the game against the fight man.

tied 8) Eddie Alvarez (8)

After a disappointing promotional debut, Eddie Alvarez will face Gilbert Melendez at UFC 188 in Mexico City. This is a chance for the two brawlers to show what they can do in their origin nation with Fight of the Night chances.

tied 8) Jim Miller (10)

Jim Miller will be facing Beneil Dariush at UFC on Fox: Machida vs. Rockhold on April 18th for a rebound. He was originally supposed to face the up and coming Paul Felder before he got injured and had to pull out sadly.

10) Will Brooks (N/A)

Following his decisive win against Michael Chandler, Will Brooks will defend his title at Bellator 136, April 10th.
