Note the rankings are voted on by a panel of writers. Also note the previous rankings (2/26/15) are in parenthesis:
1) Ronda Rousey (1)
Ronda Rousey will be defending her title on August 1st against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 taking place in Brazil. Her recent appearance in the WWE didn’t exactly hurt her overall popularity and opened a possible future avenue.
2) Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino (N/A)
After her successful defense against Charmain Tweet, Cristiane Justino will fight on July 10th at Invicta FC 13. With the announcement that Justino is under UFC contract it’s only a matter of time before she tries bantamweight.
3) Barb Honchak (3)
Barb Honchak is currently the only Invicta FC Champion who doesn’t have a title defense scheduled for 2015. It’s hard to find a viable opponent for Honchak as she has essentially cleared out the women’s flyweight division.
4) Jessica Aguilar (4)
It’s unknown when Jessica Aguilar will fight again as WSOF’s roster is thin and no fights are scheduled. There’s the possibility that Aguilar could jump to the UFC and challenge newly crowned champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
5) Herica Tiburcio (7)
Herica Tiburcio is scheduled to fight at Invicta FC 13 against Ayaka Hamasaki for her very first title defense. This will also be the highest profile fight for the new champion during the UFC International Fight Week.
6) Michelle Waterson (8)
At present, Michelle Waterson has nothing scheduled since loosing the title to Herica Tiburcio at Invicta FC 10. It can only be assumed that she will get a rebound match or possibly may jump to the UFC strawweight division.
7) Marloes Coenen (10)
Marloes Coenen will probably fight for the inaugural Bellator Women’s Featherweight title sometime this year. Her likely opponent will be Julia Budd and at the earliest it would be the late summer due to the Bellator schedule.
8) Joanna Jedrzejczyk (N/A)
Following her dominant performance against Carla Esparza, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is waiting for a contender. There are a few possibilities including Joanne Calderwood should she defeat Maryna Moroz on April 11th.
9) Miesha Tate (9)
Miesha Tate will be fighting against Jessica Eye sometime during the summer in a title elimination bout. Tate seems to be confident that should she defeat Eye she would be able to finally beat Ronda Rousey in their trilogy.
10) Bethe Correia (N/A)
After defeating two out of three of Ronda Rousey‘s teammates, Bethe Correia will fight the champ at UFC 190. The question in this match is whether Correia will be a genuine challenge or another of Rousey’s victims.
