Finally we get to see a fight, it seems like it has been forever.  UFC 152 brings us two title fights, plus some good prelims on FX. Hopefully this PPV card will make it up to all the fans they have lost. I personally won’t be watching this card, but it’s not because I’m protesting or anything. I will be celebrating my life with my new wife as I’m getting married. I’m very excited and am glad if I had to miss a card, it was one with Jones on it. Exciting as he is to watch,I don’t feel like supporting someone I don’t respect. Hopefully it will be a great weekend for both, I will get married and Jones will get knocked out. We all know that might not happen, but you will find out here in my picks.

Main Card (PPV)

Light Heavyweight Championship

Jon Jones vs. Vitor Belfort- A Punchers Chance:

We all know when it comes to fighting, that Jon Jones is exciting to watch and is the “New Breed” of an mma fighter, not too mention he has ridiculous reach as he demonstrated against Rashad Evans. Belfort is just like Dan Henderson in this fight, he has a punchers chance, but Jones knows that as well. Jones is one of the smartest fighters when it comes down to it, and I expect him to perform well and use all this pent up aggression against Belfort and finish him in the third round. Prediction Jones TKO 3rd Round

Flyweight Championship (First Ever)

Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson- Finally!!

Finally we get to see a UFC Flyweight champion crowned. This fight has been in the works for awhile after Johnson and McCall had to rematch do to poor judging and mistakes in scoring. Johnson brings great speed, excellent wrestling and 5 round experience into this fight. That being said, Benavidez is very big at this weight and will have the power and strength in this fight. Both have great cardio. I expect a war and possible FOTN awards in this fight. I see Benavidez being too much for Johnson, neutralizing his speed, using his power and wrestling and maybe even knocking out Johnson. Benavidez has knock out power in this weight class and I see him being the first UFC flyweight champion. Prediction Benavidez Unanimous

Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann- Cardio is the Key

This fight has been building up for a long time and I’m ready to see Bisping get knocked out again! I really don’t see that happening, but you never know. Bisping has great cardio and I really think that will be the difference in this fight. Stann has good cardio himself and has been working on his wrestling since the loss to Chael Sonnen, but will that be enough? I really don’t think so. Stann has a punchers chance so if I was going to take Stann I would take him with a KO or TKO in the late second. I think people underestimate Bisping because they don’t like him and that’s not fair. He is a great fighter and if you have listened to any of his opponents like Chael Sonnen or even Dan Henderson, “Bisping hits hard and can take a punch.” Bisping trains hard as always delivers a great fight. If he can take a few of Stann’s punches a survive until the later rounds, I see Bisping tko’ing him late in the third. Prediction Bisping TKO 3rd round

Matt Hamill vs. Roger Hollet- Hamill is back!!!!!!

I’m going to make this short and sweet. Hamill is back for a reason and will prove it. Hollet is a decent striker with an alright submission game. I see Hamill grinding out a dominating victory. Prediction Hamill Unanimous

Cub Swanson vs. Charles Oliveira- Cub’s Claws are out

Oliveira is fun to watch, has a badass submission game and with have the reach advantage in this fight. So did George Roop and Swanson knocked him out. This fight could really go either. Swanson is on a roll and his claws are out. He knows he is on a roll and I don’t see him letting Oliveira spoil his night. I think Cub with come out with a good game plan and uses his power and striking to keep the fight on the feet and find the finish. Prediction Swanson TKO 2nd round Undercard (FX)

Igor Pokrajac vs. Vinny Magalhaes-

Vinny’s welcome back will be an unpleasant one. Prediction Pokrajac Tko 1st round

TJ Grant vs. Evan Dunham-

Dunham’s overall game better be top notch. (very hard fight for me to pick) Prediction Dunham Split

Sean Pierson vs. Lance Benoist

Benoist is the real deal, but the “Pimp Daddy” will find a way to win. Prediction Pierson Unanimous

Jimy Hettes vs. Marcus Brimage

The Ninja is back!!!! I love watching Jimy Hettes fight and he will be too much for Brimage. Prediction Hettes Submission 2nd round

Undercard (Facebook)

Seth Baczynski vs. Simeon Thoresen- Prediction Thoresen Submission 2nd round

Mitch Gagnon vs. Walel Watson- Prediction Gagnon Unanimous

Kyle Noke vs. Charlie Brenneman-Prediction Brenneman Unanimous
