It’s that day of year again when father’s are honored. For the occasion the top 10 father’s of MMA will be honored:


10) Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson 

Kimbo Slice returned to MMA for the first time in five years against Ken Shamrock to support his six children.

9) Carlos Condit

After more then a year off because of a knee injury, Carlos Condit made a successful return against Thiago Alves. One can only hope that he’ll be able to fight again soon to make up for missed time while recovering.

8) Quinton “Rampage” Jackson

Quinton Jackson made a successful return to the UFC, though a lawsuit involving Bellator is still pending. Just the same he’s made a comeback but how far he comes in the UFC is a question of the rest of the talent in the division.

7) Jake Shields

Has won both his fights since getting cut from the UFC and will next fight for the WSOF Welterweight Championship against fellow UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares. The two are engaged in a words war about Palhares submissions.

6) Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo defended his title against Chad Mendes and will now be facing Conor McGregor at UFC 189. With the bad blood between them, Aldo will be looking forward to his chance to demolish McGregor, but must be careful.

5) Rafael dos Anjos

Faced Anthony Pettis and successfully earned the UFC Lightweight Championship with future plans to defend it against Donald Cerrone later this year in a rematch of their previous meeting two years ago at UFC Fight Night 27.

4) Robbie Lawler

Robbie Lawler earned his way back into a title shot against Johny Hendricks will now fight Rory MacDonald at UFC 189 on July 11th as the co-main event. Judging from their past fight, this will be a good one.

3) Fabricio Werdum

Won the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship in a battle against fellow Pride FC veteran Mark Hunt and then won the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship in a battle against Cain Velasquez at UFC 188 this month.

2) Chris Weidman 

Chris Weidman was only able to defend his title twice in the past year due to injuries but succeeded both times. His next challenge will probably be either Luke Rockhold or Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza later this year.

1) Demetrious Johnson

Demetrious Johnson had a great year with three total defenses with one successfully against a PED fueled Ali Bagautinov. He will next be defending his title sometime in September against a yet to be determined opponent.
