Last night I tuned into UFC Tonight On Fuel TV as I do every week and had the unfortunate luck of not hearing one news related topic. Instead, they were doing a “Special Edition” trivia show with fighters Kenny Florian, Dominick Cruz, Michael Bisping and Rashad Evans.

This show is one of my favorite mma news related shows, and in my opinion they just gave up last night. There is still so much news out there in the world of mma and we had to put up with Rashad and Bisping thinking they are comedians. This is mma, not Comedy Central, get over it. I think the only ones that think they are funny are themselves.

Watch the video below to view a clip from Fuel Tv’s silly little game show.

Just one night after UFC Tonight’s horrible edition of their show, multiple sites announced a match-up between former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans (12-2-1 UFC) and mma veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (3-2 UFC) for the UFC’s traditional Super Bowl weekend event.

The UFC had held a Las Vegas pay-per-view event on the eve of the NFL’s Super Bowl every year since 2004. All but one have taken place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, a 12,000-seat venue on the Las Vegas Strip. Officials traditionally stack the Super Bowl weekend cards, and Evans vs. Nogueira certainly fits the mold.

So you are going to tell me that playing games and asking stupid question like “Who just broke up with Kristen Stewart?” or “What Canadian night club did GSP used to bounce for?” Is more important than up and coming news? I totally disagree.

Watching last nights episode was a waste of my time and all I learned is that Rashad is a joke, Kenny Florian apparently forgot that GSP was the welterweight champion and Bisping knows a lot about other guys. In Bispings defense, he does know a lot about his job and the world of mma winning the only trophy he will ever see in the sport.

I have so much respect for the UFC and all their news related shows, but after having to watch Ariel Helwani pretend to be a game show host, I would rather watch  Hong Man Choi vs. Jose Canseco again (which was the worst fight I have ever watched).

I know the UFC thinks that Rashad and Bisping are good ratings boosters, good or bad, but I think that is the worst thing you could ever do when you are a fighting company. I would rather listen to Jon Anik or Joe Rogan that have to put up with fighters who run their mouth better than they fight.
